Porcelain Veneers
Veneers are not just for those with severely damaged teeth. These crafted shells of porcelain mimic the natural teeth and provide a durable solution to mis-shaped, poorly aligned and/or discolored teeth. Whether you want to correct small defects or have the complete Hollywood effect, the result is a new, long-lasting smile.
How Does It Work?
The procedure will start with your dentist remove 1-2 millimeters (roughly the thickness of a fingernail) of enamel from your tooth. A putty-like material will then be molded around the teeth to create an impression that can be sent to the dental laboratory.
How long will it take?
It can take up to 2 weeks to create a veneer, so your dentist may attach a temporary replacement during this time. Once the veneer has been created, your dentist will permanently bond the veneer to the natural tooth.
